1. Introduction

Welcome to the MedxVerse App, a secure technology-driven telemedicine platform connecting patients and licensed healthcare professionals.

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MedxVerse Telemedicine and Virtual Care Ltd governing your access to and use of our digital health platforms, mobile applications, and associated services.

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.

2. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older and legally capable of entering this agreement
  • Have lawful authority if acting on behalf of a minor or dependent
  • Provide accurate, complete, and verifiable registration information

MedxVerse reserves the right to verify information provided and suspend access where inaccuracies or misrepresentations are discovered.

3. Scope of Services

MedxVerse provides digital access to licensed medical practitioners and healthcare facilities for non-emergency clinical services including:

  • Virtual consultations and medical follow-ups
  • E-prescriptions compliant with applicable laws
  • Health data management, storage, and retrieval
  • Partner laboratory, diagnostic, and pharmacy services
  • Preventive health, wellness, and referral services

Important: MedxVerse does not provide emergency medical response or inpatient services. In case of emergency, immediately contact your nearest hospital or emergency service provider.

4. Platform Role and Medical Disclaimer

MedxVerse operates solely as a technology platform enabling communication between users and licensed healthcare professionals.

All medical advice, prescriptions, or diagnoses provided through the platform are the exclusive responsibility of the attending healthcare professional.

MedxVerse does not practice medicine, control clinical decision-making, or guarantee medical outcomes.

Information available on the platform is for informational purposes only and should not replace in-person medical assessment where necessary.

5. User Responsibilities

By using the platform, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and updated personal and medical information
  • Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Use the services only for lawful personal healthcare purposes

You must not:

  • Introduce malicious code or disrupt system integrity
  • Use the platform for fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Share your account with unauthorized individuals

6. Fees, Payments, and Refunds

Service fees are clearly displayed within the MedxVerse platform before payment.

Payments are processed through secure NDPR-compliant third-party payment gateways.

Refunds, where applicable, will follow the MedxVerse Refund and Billing Policy.

MedxVerse shall not be liable for transaction errors, delays, or failures caused by third-party payment systems.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All platform technology, source code, algorithms, interfaces, graphics, and trademarks belong exclusively to MedxVerse or its licensors.

Users may not:

  • Copy or reproduce platform content
  • Modify or reverse-engineer platform software
  • Create derivative works from MedxVerse technology
  • Use MedxVerse trademarks without written authorization

“MedxVerse App” and associated logos are protected under Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

MedxVerse complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019.

We implement strong technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal and health data processed through our systems.

Use of the platform constitutes consent to data processing as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MedxVerse shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

Total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

10. Suspension and Termination

MedxVerse may suspend or terminate accounts where:

  • Terms are violated
  • Fraudulent activity is suspected
  • Required by law or regulatory authorities

Upon termination, access to services will cease immediately. Certain records may be retained to meet legal obligations.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Disputes will first be resolved amicably. If unresolved, they will be referred to arbitration in Lagos under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.

12. Amendments

MedxVerse may modify or update these Terms periodically. Updated versions will be published on the website or mobile application. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
